Some 80 elite Afghans admitted to Iranian universities

Tehran, IRNA – Iran's vice president for science and technology Sorena Sattari here on Tuesday announced that 80 students out of the hundred elite students of Afghanistan's universities entrance exam have been admitted to 4 Iranian universities with the support of Iran's National Elites Foundation.

Sattari wrote in an Instagram post that Iran's Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology also has supported the activities of elite Afghan startups and entrepreneurs in the past two years.

"The presence of Afghan elites and entrepreneurs helps our economic exchange and the development of relations and exports of Iranian products and expanding scientific and economic ties between the Muslim and neighboring countries," he added.

Sattari said in his Instagram account that currently, these Afghans are managing more than 45 knowledge-based companies in Iran.

Meanwhile, Allameh Tabatabai University of Tehran will award scholarships to 35 faculty members and talented students of Afghanistan this year, compared to 20 scholarships in previous years.
